Welcome! I am so excited you’ve joined me as I embark on this creative journey!

Much of my spare time as a wife and mother has included an assortment of handicrafts, gardening, and in particular, baking. I love sharing my passion for creativity, and in the past I have instructed others in quilting, card making, crafting, and baking. My previous blog, Lady STAMPS-A-Lot, had a much narrower focus, and that has helped me realize I could not pick just one area of interest for this new blog. So I introduce you to Lady Makes-A-Lot — the new home for ALL my various creative ventures.

At Lady Makes-A-Lot, you’ll find many of my original recipes. I love the art of baking and cooking, not only to provide sustenance to my family, but also as a creative expression. I also enjoy learning about the science of baking: How do certain ingredients act with one another? What flavors work best together? Finding these answers are so satisfying to me! Thankfully, I have a great network of family and friends who are willing to be my taste-testers!

Lady Makes-A-Lot will also have a great emphasis on handicrafts. I often find myself looking at various arts + crafts and wondering how I could add my own spin to it or how I could take certain recyclables and give them new life.

I admit, there are times it would be easier to have things ready-made (I too love a night where I don’t have to cook!) but in crafting and cooking, I love to do things from scratch. That definitely requires more mental and physical energy, but there is something so satisfying about creating a project from design to completion!

I believe that my desire to express beauty and creativity has been given to me by the Creator of the universe. I hope that everything I share here would bring glory to Him. And to all who may read this, whether near or far, I pray that what you find here may bring you joy and encouragement, and an appreciation of all the good we have been given by God.
